Roots in Surat, Wings to the World
Born and raised in the vibrant city of Surat, Gujarat, we, Iqbal and Kaynat, embarked on our paths as an electrical and civil engineer, respectively. Our love for design and structure wasn’t confined to buildings and circuits; it extended to the intricate patterns and silhouettes of clothing.
A Melbourne Sojourn
After completing my bachelor’s degree, I, Iqbal, ventured to Melbourne, seeking new experiences and knowledge. However, the call of home was strong, and the lockdown brought me back to India, where destiny had a different plan in store.
Legacy of Craftsmanship
Kaynat grew up inspired by her father, a skilled ladies’ tailor whose dedication to his craft highlighted the beauty of personalized fashion. This influence was the seed that later blossomed into Shaqi.in
